Cash for clunkers cost $24,000 per vehicle sold…

Edmunds.com — known for evaluating new and used cars and their markets — collated its seasonal car sales numbers with the results of the cash for clunkers program (aka Car Allowance Rebate System) click this over here now. Their findings were that factoring in new car sales that would have taken place anyway, the government subsidized each true “clunker” replacement to the tune of $24,000.1
